i have not seen Rich in over 40 years. He and I served in the army together and we're almost inseparable for the short life time of 1 year!!!! We have talked on the phone but busy lives with states in between had kept us apart. He talked of You Connie all the time and how he missed you. He taught me how to play Chess and said I would never beat him but I surprised him about 3 months into it and kicked his "butt".... ( or he let me win) he hooked me up with a mail buddy in his sister (Sadie). Rich would have done anything for anybody and I wish I could have known his family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I know he is on tee number 1 with an eternity to go in heaven!!!!

Connie and Family - We are so sorry to hear about Rich. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Rich certainly enjoyed life and his family was first priority. I will never forget what he always told me "Life is not a dress rehearsal" and he lived life believing that!

Connie and kids - I am one person that can literally know what you are going through. I lost Jim in the blink of an eye. I wish I could give you a hug and tell you it will be OK, but when you love someone so very much for most of your life, it takes time to even feel like a person again. If you ever want to talk to me and get together after the shock is a little better, get my number from Betty and we can meet. I have mentored several women who has gone through this. Lean on the family that loves you and let them help. No one can say anything right now that will help, but time does help. For me it has been 15 years and I still have many days I cry and miss him every day of my life. God bless you and your family !
