Never a nicer guy to work with, as I too, was a driver at Baker HiWay Express in Dover, at the same time as Bob. He always had a smile and a helping hand. A great co-worker and friend. May God bless the family, and give you strength for the day and every day.

Among my special memories: The days when we lived in New Hagerstown as next-door neighbors to Bob and Dorothy and their boys. . . picnics at the park, 4th of July celebrations in their back yard (in fact, I still have a voice tape of interviews I did with some of the folks of the community one year - I just need to get it out and listen to it again - but first I gotta' remember in which box it is stored). . . Rusty and Jene and some of their childhood antics . . my last conversations with Bob a couple of years ago regarding New Hagerstown's early history. I*'m just sure that Chuck Gilchrist and Bob are having some special conversations "over there." Blessings to all the Hidey family!

I am Bob Hidey's grand daughter. My family & I would personally like to thank everyone who said a prayer, who offered support, who showed their love, who offered their condolences, and helped in any way during this difficult time. We would also like to thank Baxter Gardner funeral home for honoring our family's wishes, and affording Grandpa the respect & dignity he deserves. We are very appreciative. My Grandpa was a good man & a very important part of our family. We miss him dearly, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever. "Love you, Papaw"
