John M. Scott, age 61, of 1036 Roswell Road N.W., Carrollton, Ohio, died Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015 in the Mercy Medical Center Emergency Room following a sudden illness.
He was born June 12, 1954 and was the son of the late Milton Kenneth and Gertrude Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie Brannon Scott, who died September 1, 2013.
He retired in 2013 as a project inspector from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 11, Carrollton Garage after 37 years of service. John periodically engaged in a little fishing and, when he was younger, had also enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by three sons, Andrew Kenneth Scott of Carrollton, Joseph Allen Scott of Taylor, Arizona, and Roger William Scott of Carrollton, and two sisters Janet and Nancy.
