William A. Baumgardner, Sr.

William Arthur Baumgardner, Sr. age 77, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed on Wednesday morning, December 23, 2020.

He was born on Father's Day, June 20, 1943 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Robert William Baumgardner, Sr. and Marjorie Grace (Ewing) Baumgardner.

Bill drove truck for a good living until he retired 1 July, 2005 from Nickle’s Bakery Transport Division in Navarre, Ohio.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Philadelphia, Ohio.  He enjoyed sharing the Gospel with others.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents. 

He is survived by his sweetheart and best friend Cheryl Ann (Warner) Baumgardner, whom he married December 19, 1964, three children William A., Jr. (Bonnie Anderson) Baumgardner, Sheryl Lynn (Richard Allen, Jr.) Weaver, and Robert Dale (Diane Slusser) Baumgardner,  seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren,  three brothers and one sister,   A loving brother-in-law  Dale and Jeanie Warner and their family.

A private graveside service was conducted in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville handled the arrangements. To leave a condolence message, please visit the funeral home website.
