William Clow, Jr., age 90, of Sherrodsville, died peacefully Monday evening, November 15, 2010 at his home in the company of his family.
William was a World War II Army Veteran, and retired in 1988 as Sherrodsville Postmaster, had owned and operated Bilmar Spraying, served as Mayor of the Village of Sherrodsville, and was a 34 year member and past president and treasurer of the Sherrodsville Lion's Club.
He is survived by his wife of 69 year Marjorie (Michelli) Clow, his children Margie Ann and Lee Hoffee of Fort Worth, Texas, Peggy and Bill Clow III of Mogadore, Ohio, and Barb Coffy of Merritt Island, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his nine grandkids and 14 great-grandchildren, which all felt each was his favorite. Also surviving are his very special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Pat Michelli of Pittsburgh, PA.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2010 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Janice Strawn officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens where the Carroll County combined units of the V.F.W., American Legion, and D.A.V. will perform military graveside services. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
