Robert L. Felgenhauer

Robert L. Felgenhauer, age 84, of Sherrodsville, Ohio, died suddenly in his residence Thursday morning, December 23, 2021.

He was born August 4, 1937 in New Philadelphia, Ohio and was the son of  the late Virgil William and Mildred Olive Brady Felgenhauer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patsy June McKain Felgenhauer, who passed away July 16, 2020. 

Bob was retired from the Dover Light and Power plant after 30 years of service where he was employed as a stationary steam engineer.  He had also been employed for 12 years at the former Robinson Clay Company at Parral, Ohio.  Bob and Patsy were married on November 1, 1957 in Leesville, Ohio. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville and served six years in the National Guard. He and his wife Patsy raised Field Trial Competition Beagles for 25 years and both were members of the Buckeye Beagle Club in Winfield.  Bob was a fan of car shows.  He and his wife attended numerous car shows over the years and he was proud to display his 1953 Chevy Truck.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be missed by his family and friends. 

He is survived by his three children Ronald L. "Ron" (Cindy) Felgenhauer of Stone Creek, OH, Sherry A. (Dan) Aubihl of Sugarcreek, OH, and Philip R. Felgenhauer of Bolivar, OH,  seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren,  two sisters Mrs. Wanda Bebout of Canton, OH and Mrs. Carol (Larry) Kirtley of Sherrodsville, and a brother, Donald Felgenhauer of Orange, Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville with Rev. Kenneth Ogg officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday in the church from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. The family has requested that attendees observe COVID protocols and please wear a mask.  Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church,  P. O.
