Randy Alan Robinson

Randy A. Robinson, age 64, of  Bowerston, Ohio, died late Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2023 in the Community Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.

He was born April 8, 1959 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Rodney Allen Robinson Sr. and Alice Marie (Tinlin) Robinson.  

Randy was serving as the Transportation Director and the Food Service Director for Conotton Valley Union Local Schools.  Over the years, his responsibilities with the school were multi-faceted.  In addition to his most recent responsibilities, he had also served in the capacity of  Assistant Athletic Director, janitor, bus driver, basketball coach, and referee. A 1977 graduate of the same school, he enjoyed traveling with his family, most particularly to Folly Beach, South Carolina.  He also enjoyed the hobby of metal-detecting while on the beach and other places of interest.  His favorite activity was spending his time with his family, and in particular, his beloved grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife Rhonda K. (Johnson) Robinson, whom he married March 11, 1989, two daughters, Alyssa (Fiance John Boyd) Robinson of Bowerston, and Mrs. Jessica (Tyler) Dunn of Mansfield, OH,  two sons, Justin (Kayla) Robinson of Chester, VA and Daniel (Fiancée Rachael Cotsmire) Robinson of Gnadenhutten, OH, and his grandchildren Bryar Dunn, Olivia Dunn, River Dunn, and Leo Robinson, a sister, Mrs. Dianne (Bryan) Cole of Sherrodsville, OH, and a brother, Rodney A. "Robbie" (Jo Ann) Robinson Jr. of Canton, OH.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 8, 2023 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Bill Newell officiating.  Interment will follow near his parents in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
