Patricia M. "Patty" Frame

Patricia M. "Patty" Frame, age 72, of 6157 Nichols Lane, Bowerston, O., went to be with the Lord Saturday morning December 25, 2010 after a courageous ten year battle with cancer.

She was born May 31, 1938 in Barberton, O. and was the daughter of Ruth Shane Houk Hartman of Dover and the late Ted Houk.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father Neal "Benny" Hartman and a brother Gary Houk.

Patty was a proud homemaker having impressed her family with her outstanding cooking abilities. Her specialty was preparing wild game. She loved to work outside in her flower garden and go fishing. Her quiet moments she filled by completing puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. She was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians and rarely missed watching or listening to a game. Along with her husband, she owned and formerly operated Frame's Tavern at Canton. She attended Leesville Faith Community Chapel and was a member of the Sandy Valley Eagles.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, William E. Frame whom she married Jan. 9, 1955, her six children Danny W. Frame of Canton, O., Susan M. Petrullo of New Philadelphia, O., Mrs. Chip (Cheryl) Kennsion of Dover, Jeffrey G.  Frame of Dellroy, O., Lisa K. Frame of the home, and William (Tammy) Frame of Bolivar, O., 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother Dennis "Denny" Houk of Evans, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the Leesville Faith Community Chapel with Rev. Doug McFadden officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 29, from 6 until 8:00 PM in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
