Mildred Eleanor Olds Alsept, age 95, formerly of rural Mineral City, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 2021 in the Hennis Care Center at Bolivar.
"Millie", as she was commonly known, was born February 3, 1926 in Amsterdam, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Edward Olds and Helen Wentland Olds Camano.
She retired after a 27-year career as a bookkeeper for the former Ehler's General Store in Zoarville. She attended the Lake Drive Fellowship Church in New Cumberland for many years. She and her late husband owned and operated the former Claude's Market in New Cumberland and Claude's Meats in Canton, Ohio. She also worked for her son Dennis at Atwood Motors in Dover, Ohio. She thoroughly enjoyed her travels to the Holy Lands and to Europe several times over the years, and was thankful for those opportunities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Alsept, who died September 1, 1971, a brother, Leslie Lenny Olds, and a grandson Dakoda (Cody) Alsept.
She is survived by her six children Dennis (Carol) Alsept and Mrs.Helena "Sue" (Tom) Kahler, both of Bolivar, Mrs. Shari (Mark) Nelson of New Cumberland, OH, David (Tammy) Alsept of Canton, OH, Timothy (Vicesaha) Alsept of Dellroy, OH, and Tina (Tim Cordray) Levengood of Bolivar, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and a large family of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 27, 2021 in the New Cumberland Cemetery with Pastor Larry Stitt officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
