Micheal G. Higgins

Micheal G. Higgins, age 74, of  Leesville, Ohio,  died suddenly in his home Wednesday morning, November 11, 2020.

He was born January 4, 1946 in Leavittsville, Ohio and was the son of  the late Everett and Edna Fox Higgins.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Micheal Gene Higgins, Jr.,  two sisters Janet Sealey and Carla Higgins, and an infant brother, Joseph Carl Higgins.

Mike was a retired tree-trimmer and was a Viet Nam War era veteran of the United States Navy.  He was a former productive member of the Green Valley Ruritan and enjoyed fishing as his main hobby.  He was also a skilled wood worker.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and friends.. 

He is survived by his wife Linda D. Thompson Higgins, whom he married October 5, 1968, two sons, Robert M. (Stacey) Higgins of Alexandria, OH and Patrick (Angel Wilson) Higgins of Leesville,  his five siblings Danny (Nancie) Higgins of Canton, OH,  Mrs. Jenny (David) Taggert of Loudenville, OH,  Mrs. Cindy (Joseph) Stankula of Rockwood, Michigan,  Mrs. Linda (Steve) Brown of Wellington, Kansas, and Larry Higgins of Wichita, Kansas, and his four grandchildren Caleb Higgins and Sean Higgins of Alexandria, Ohio,  and Dawsan Higgins and Isabella Higgins of Leesville.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral services will be scheduled. Cremation service will be under the care of the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home in Sherrodsville. To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
