Martha E. Wojcik

Martha E. Wojcik, age 83, of 3490 Lombardy Road S.W., Sherrodsville, Ohio, died Sunday morning,  November 28, 2010 in Country Club Retirement Campus at Dover following a brief illness.
She was born November 7, 1927 in Dillonvale, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Elvin Leo and Anna Barkhurst Bendure. 
For many years, she helped her husband Ed operate their family farm at Sunset Valley.  They also owned and operated the former Sunset Valley Bakery.  Prior to her marriage to Edward F.  "Bud" Wojcik on August 11, 1954, she had worked for a short time at the East Sparta Ceramic Tile Co.  Her husband Ed died December 7, 2009.  Martha will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters Lois Gordon and Mariam Johnstone and two brothers Thomas E. Bendure, Sr. and Frank Bendure.
She is survived by a son, David (Susan) E. Wojcik of Sherrodsville and a daughter Mrs. Richard (Cheryl L.) Eick of Strasburg, O., a brother Richard (Dorothy) Bendure of Scottsdale, Arizona, a grandson  Jason  Eick and his family, two step-grandsons Joshua (Nikki) Metcalf  and Cody (Tonya) Metcalf,  a great-grandson Jordon Eick and three step-great-grandchildren Madilyn E. Metcalf, Aerowyn Rain Metcalf and Jaden E. Metcalf.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Lester Stephens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services in the funeral home.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
