Mark Lynn Nelson, age 64, of Mineral City (New Cumberland), left this earth to receive his heavenly reward on Thursday, December 9th, 2021.
He was born February 19th, 1957, in Dover, Ohio, son of the late Robert and JoAnne (Ohler) Nelson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Mildred Alsept and nephews Jason Ohler and Takota Alsept.
Mark was a kind-hearted, generous soul, always willing to help someone in need. Possessing a quick wit, he enjoyed telling jokes, firework displays, throwing parties, decorating for holidays, and constructing an ice rink for his ice skating enthusiasts. Mark enjoyed playing sports like baseball, waterskiing, bowling, playing chess, and most of all, golf. He was proud of his multiple holes in one and fondly spoke of his golf vacations he took with his friends. He could tell you every rule to any game and always knew how to win.
