Marjorie D. (Jones) Fantin

Marjorie D.  (Jones)  Fantin, age 58, of 424 East Ninth Street, Uhrichsville, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010 in her residence following a one-year illness.

She was born  August 31, 1951 in Dennison, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Harold Victor and Cecil Joy Davis Jones, Sr.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Harold Victor Jones, Jr. and a sister Vickie Lynn Burdette.

Marjorie was one of the most outgoing, positive-minded and happy persons one could ever encounter.  She was primarily a homemaker, and she loved to go shopping, and enjoyed an occasional fishing trip.  She relished entertaining people in her home.  Always a very caring individual, she consistantly had the uncanny ability to turn around a negative situation and turn it into a positive lesson.  Marjorie enjoyed being with her family and will be remembered by them and others as a great mother, wife, grandma, sister, aunt and best friend.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Howard Fantin, Sr.  and  two sons  Scott Jones  and Thomas H. Fantin, Jr. and his companion Shannon Warner, all of Uhrichsville,  a daughter, Kimberly Thomas of  the home,  one step-daughter, Angela McCahill of New Philadelphia, O.,  five grandchildren,  Preston Scott Jones of Dover, O., Gavin Taylor Thomas of Uhrichsville,  Ronnie Miller,  Cody McCahill, and Nicole McCahill, all of New Philadelphia,  two brothers, John Jones and his companion Mary Black of Gnadenhutten, O., and Theodore Jones of Uhrichsville,  a sister, Mrs. Robert (Pamela) Treherne of Bowerston, O., and a brother-in-law, Ray Lewis Burdette II of Riverside.  A number of nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles completes the family.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 7, 2010 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Harry Milligan officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
