Margaret E. Tidrick

Margaret E. Tidrick, age 100, of 7280 Roswell Road S.W., Sherrodsville, Ohio, died late Friday afternoon, September 10, 2010 in New Dawn Health Care Center at Dover after a period of declining health.

She was an employee of the former Al's Foodliner in Carrollton, O. where she was a cashier and assistant manager for ten years.  But Margaret was primarily a homemaker.

She was born  June 16, 1910 in Colerain, O. and was the daughter of the late Charles T.  and Virginia Nolan Woods.  On June 16, 1928, she married George B. Tidrick, who died January 23, 1990. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother,  a granddaughter Bonnie Kaye Standiford, and a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

Margaret was a life member of the Carroll County Historical Society and was a member of the Church of the Living Hope at Sherrodsville. She was an accomplished quilter and in the past, gathered in the homes of her friends for fellowship and quilting.  She was also known to her family and others as an extraordinary cook, who was particularly talented at making pies.

She is survived by a son and four daughters George E.  (Elizabeth) Tidrick of Malvern, O.,  Mrs. Duane (Dorothy) Edie of Uhrichsville, O., Flora Grimes of New Philadelphia, O., and Mrs. Larry (Margie) Robinson and Mrs. Glenn (Cindy) Norris, both of Sherrodsville. 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren completes the family.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Milo Baker and Pastor Hal Wheaton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
