Jeffrey L. "Spot" Elmore, age 62, most recently of Scio, Ohio, died Thursday evening, October 31, 2019 in the Sunnyslope Care Center at Bowerston.
Raised in Leesville, he was born April 11, 1957 in Dennison, Ohio and was the son of the late Lloyd G. "Giz" and Gayle Meryle Barton Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Rick Elmore and brother-in-law Joe McLandsborough.
Jeff was employed as a truck driver and oil field worker for most of his life. His favorite activity was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle around the area. A graduate of Conotton Valley High School, he possessed artistic talent and enjoyed creating sketches.
He is survived by his children Devin Elmore of Scio, OH, Kevin Huff of Carrollton, OH, Jeffrey E. Elmore of Scio, Regina Miller of New Philadelphia, OH, and Mrs. Ericka (David) Broderick of Bowerston, a step-son, Tyler Calhoun of Cadiz, OH, two brothers, Tom (Diane) Elmore and Gregory (Jane) Elmore, both of Leesville, OH, a sister Patricia McLandsborough of Carrollton, OH; sister-in-law Lu Rae Elmore of Sherrodsville, OH, and eleven grandchildren.
Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements. To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
