Jane C. Grezlik

Jane C. Grezlik, age 72, of Carrollton, Ohio  (Leavittsville),  died Thursday evening, December 21, 2023 in the Community Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.

She was born March 4, 1951 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late John Meredith and Blanche (Jozefczik) Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Dawn "Nikki" Grezlik on March 16, 1990,  and a son-in-law, John Marmann.

Jane was a 1969 graduate of Conotton Valley High School and she worked for Malachi Marketing until her health would not allow her to any longer. She was the founder of the local tourism magazine "Out and Around Carroll County" that she published through Malachi. She was a member of the Carroll County Genealogical Society and devoted much of her time to the gathering, recording, and sharing histories of local families. She was also fond of gardening, sewing and "making soap with Aunt Helen." She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband John "Jack" R. Grezlik, whom she married September 20, 1969, two daughters, Dori Marmann of Corolla, North Carolina and Mrs. Kalin (Aaron) Wilburn of Mount Vernon, OH, and her four grandchildren  J.W. Wilburn and Alana Wilburn of Mount Vernon,  and Ella and Nikki Marmann of Corolla, North Carolina.

Public calling hours will be observed from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in the Baxter Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville.  A family graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 27  in the Leavittsville Cemetery where interment will follow.  To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
