Ira D. "Butch" Beard, III

Ira D. Beard III, 48, of Carrollton, lost his battle with cancer Dec. 17, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a great handyman. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fabricate or build.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ira and Helen Beard, Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Bernice Saffell.

He is survived by his parents, Ira and Peggy Beard, Jr. of Scio; his wife, Kim Beard of the home; his brothers, Jeremy (Sarah) Beard and Jason (Amanda) Beard of Carrollton; a son, Mason Beard of Carrollton; stepdaughters, Nikki Turull of Miamisburg, OH, and Shay of the home; nephews, Jacob and Joey Beard of Carrollton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

A celebration of Ira’s (Butchie) life will be held at a later date at Leesville Methodist  Church in Leesville.
