Hyle J. Poole

Hyle J. Poole, age 86, of 2181 Lodge Road S.W., Sherrodsville, Ohio, died late Wednesday night, May 12, 2010 in the Carroll Healthcare Center at Carrollton.

He retired in 1980 as a mechanic for the Timken Company at Canton, O. after 34 years of service.  Hyle also operated a farm on Bark Road in Dellroy for 42 years.

He was born March 5, 1924 in Flemington, West Virginia and was the son of the late Earl Patrick and  Ella Gay Wilcox Poole.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jack Poole, and a great-grandson Dalton Ford.

He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the infantry in Germany.  He was always known to be lighthearted and enjoyed talking to people.  But primarily Hyle was a loving and thoughtful husband, dad, and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Nada B. Wyne Poole, whom he married November 5, 1946,  and  four children  Richard  (Sue) Shellock of Bolivar, O.,  Janniefier (Charles) Leatherman of Columbus, O., Lyle (Twila) Poole of Dellroy, O., and Beverly (Raymond) Hill of Carrollton, O., a sister, Edna McGuyrt of Canton, O.,  and 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 17, 2010 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Marion Sandefur officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens at Canton. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 until 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
