Holley R. "Rosie" Mallett Obituary


Holley R. "Rosie" Mallett, age 65, of  Sherrodsville, Ohio, died late Thursday night, October 22, 2020 in the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.
She was born September 21, 1955 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Hollie A. and Doris I. Rose Mallett.  


She retired in 2013 as an assembly line worker from the Cable Manufacturing and Assembly Company, Inc. (CMA) in Bolivar.  Holley was a 1974 graduate of Massillon Perry High School.  She was a frequent volunteer for the Tri-County HARCATUS and enjoyed volunteering for the Anti-Drug Coalition in Carroll and Tuscarawas Counties.. She was fond of backyard cookouts and gatherings with her family. She spent much of her time alongside her sister Peggy, and together they were a common sight on Bingo nights at the Sherrodsville Lions Club. When she was younger, she played in and won many racquetball tournaments. Holley enjoyed watching sporting events, both live and on television, and was also a fan of television game shows.  He favorite spare time activities included spending time with her family and being entertained by her dog Kyboe. 


She is survived by her sister,  Mrs. Peggy J. (Roger) Leslie, with whom she resided, two nieces,  Mrs. Hollie (David) Peters of Rimersburg, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Rose (Seth) Dotson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a great-niece Jaina Peters of Rimersburg, and two great-nephews Ethan Peters and Lucas Peters, also of Rimersburg,  and a number of cousins, and of course, her canine friend Kyboe.


No services are currently scheduled, but  a memorial gathering with her family will be held at a later date.  Cremation has been entrusted to the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home in Sherrodsville.  To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
