Glenn E. Weiser, age 74, of Bowerston, Ohio, died early Monday morning, November 22, 2021 in his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born March 6, 1947 in Wooster, Ohio and was the son of the late Earl Clayton and Lela Orilla Hughes Weiser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Judy Good.
Known as "Gene" or "Bud" to his family and friends, he was a retired quarry foreman who spent more than 20 years working for Briar Hill Stone Quarry in Glenmont, Ohio and the former Puskarich Stone Quarry in Sherrodsville. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Germany during the Viet Nam War. He was quite fond of watching sports programs on television, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. To fill his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and loved to travel when he went on vacation with his family. One of his greatest pleasures came form regularly attending his granddaughters' respective athletic events.
He is survived by his wife Darla "Jean" Stuber Weiser, whom he married April 5, 1985, two sons, Michael Clayton Weiser of Dalton, Georgia and Mike (Rachael) Stuber of Bowerston, a daughter, Mrs. Shawnette Laurene (Alan) Webber of Flint, Michigan, six granddaughters, Tabitha Stuber, Chloe Stuber, and Daphne Stuber, all of Bowerston, Ashley Weiser (companion Craig Henry) of Lodi, OH, Kayla Weiser of Tampa, Florida, Taylor Weiser of Calhoun, Georgia, and grandson Garrett Weiser of Chattanooga, Tennessee and six great-granddaughters, McKenzie Shubert, Ryanne Flowers, Bella Flowers, Kylie Weiser, Jazmine Graser and Ava Davis.
Following cremation, a private family service officiated by Rev. Fred Strawser, including military honors will be held at a later date in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
