Gary Lee Knight

Gary Lee Knight Sr, age 60, of  Newcomerstown, Ohio, died Saturday evening, January 11, 2025 in the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.

He was born August 29, 1964 in Marietta, Ohio and was the son of  the late William, Jr. and Doris (Dean) Knight.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carla Barger and Teresa Smith, and a brother, Steve Knight.

Gary had formerly worked as a tow-truck driver for Mel Peters, primarily servicing AAA accounts.  He had also been employed as a stockman for Wal-Mart.  He was a fan of country and gospel music and was also fond of going fishing.  His primary joy came from the company of his grandchildren. 

He is survived by  his wife, Suzan Marie (O'Conner) Knight, whom he married May 27, 2000, his six children Jamie (Misty) Cool of Newcomerstown, Gary L. (Jennifer) Knight Jr. of New Philadelphia, OH,  Sarah Fox of Dennison, OH, Steven Kauffman of Kidron, OH, Douglas Kauffman and Kyle Kauffman, both of Dundee, OH, a sister, Anita Goodwin of Dover, OH, his mother-in-law Jacqueline V. Standiford of Canton, OH, and twelve grandchildren.
