Francis E. "Frank" Buehler

Francis E. "Frank" Buehler, age 71, of  Sherrodsville, Ohio, died early Monday morning, March 5, 2018 in the Aultman Hospital emergency room after a sudden illness.

He was born November 3, 1946 in Valley Head, West Virginia and was the son of the late Carl Ray and Freda Mae Stalnaker Buehler and his adoptive father, the late Wilfred Glen Buehler. His step-mother, who survives is Virginia Ray of Crawley, West Virginia.   

He retired in 2011 as a truck driver for A.R.E. Logistics in Massillon, Ohio.   He was a U.S. Army veteran who served two tours of duty in Viet Nam.  Frank enjoyed racing cars at Midvale Speedway where he won a number of figure-8 features, and was also a fan of NASCAR.  He was the proud owner of a very large collection of die-cast metal cars and was fond of their Australian Shepherd dogs.  Frank was known to have a strong sense of humor and  relished in the opportunity to play practical jokes on his family.  He was a loving husband and an exceptional father who adored the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife Susan I. Jones Buehler, whom he married June 13, 2003, his five children Vicky Harris of Dover, OH, Tonia Decker of Stone Creek, OH,  William "Billy"  Buehler,  Mrs. Natasha (Dale) Johnson of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Santanna Buehler of New Philadelphia, OH,  his four stepchildren Laura Ward of Nova, OH and  Mrs. Lisa (Clifton) Scott,   Bill (Sandra) Anderson, and  Richard (Mary) Anderson, all of Elyria, OH,  his siblings Linda K. Brown of Bowerston, OH, Carl Lee (Debbie) Ray of Neches, TX, Charles "Eddie" Ray of Rupert, WVA, and Mrs. Annette (Rick) Johnson of Crawley, WVA,  and  22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Pastor Damon Spurgeon officiating.  Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3:00  until time of services at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Tribute Program, P.
