Emilio V. "Cass" Castellucci, age 61, of Malvern, Ohio, died Saturday morning, December 26, 2015 in the Alliance Community Hospital after complications of a long illness.
He was born October 18, 1954 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of Nancy V. Petros Castellucci, with whom he resided, and the late Dominic J. Castellucci. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Burkhart.
Emilio was the former manager of the Malvern American Legion Post #375 and was a former employee of PCC Airfoils at Minerva. He also spent a number of years working in real estate in Denver, Colorado. He was an active member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern and a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #375 where he had served as Commander. He enthusiastically participated in local functions through the legion and enjoyed working the homecoming food stand and other activities to benefit the community. Emilio was a graduate of Malvern High School.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother Louis M. Castellucci of Malvern, two sisters Rosanna Castellucci of Malvern and Mary Angela "Angie" Castellucci of Alliance, O., his aunts Mary Lou DiRuzza of Canton, Liz Burwell of Malvern, Jo Petros and Annie Petros, both of Minerva, O., and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Victor Cinson at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at Malvern. The Baxter-Gardner funeral home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church c/o P.O.
