Edwin Harley Ostrander, age 79, of Carrollton, Ohio, died early Sunday morning, February 24, 2019 in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover under the care of Community Hospice.
He was born April 1, 1939 in Dennison, Ohio and was the son of the late Paul and Jean Lambright Ostrander.
He attended the former Dennison High School and was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church on State Route 250 in Scio. He retired October 6, 2006 from the Betlin Manufacturing Company in Columbus, Ohio as the Head Sewing Machine Mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1961-1963.
He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Renee (David) Henry of Carrollton, and a son Paul Ostrander of Blacksburg, South Carolina, his former spouse Barbara A. Ostrander of New Philadelphia, OH, two grandchildren Dylan Henry and Mrs. Ashley (Mike) Tekip and a great-granddaughter Cadence Tekip, all of Carrollton.
No formal services are scheduled and interment of his ashes will follow in the New Rumley United Methodist Church Cemetery near Scio. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
