Shirley Jean Maple (1947-2019), age 71, of New Cumberland, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday night, May 30, 2019 in the Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio after an extended illness.
She was born in Carrollton, Ohio on July 11, 1947, daughter of the late Fred and Freda (Lucas) Wood. Additionally, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Charles Buddy Maple on January 31, 2006, two brothers, Jim Wood and Richard Wood, and two sisters Lenora Wood Thornton and Annabelle Wood.
Survivors include three sons Niles Maple of Harlem Springs, OH, Robi ( Deanna ) Maple of Fort Mill ,SC and Kevin (Becky) Wood of Dundalk MD, her seven grandchildren Travis Maple, Dakota ( Ciera) Maple, Caroline Maple, Tyler Maple, Jordan Maple, Mrs. Bethany ( David ) Harris, and Kirsten Wood, her great-grandchildren Isabella Glenn and Aurora Maple, three sisters
Mrs. Sharon (John) Hafner , Pauline (Jack) Roudebush and Nancy Montank. Also surviving are her loving companion Mr. Larry Brannon of her home in New Cumberland, and his four children Todd (Terri) Brannon , Mrs. Debbie (Mike) Randulic, Tracy Brannon and Tammy Brannon, as well as his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Tim Prince will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Harlem Springs Cemetery in Lee Township, Carroll County. A Memorial luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Carrollton V.F.W. Hall, located at 2291 Chase Road SE, Carrollton, Ohio.
