Margie Lucille Linder

Margie Lucille (McQueen) Linder, age 88, of Dellroy, Ohio,  passed away Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016  following a brief illness.

She was born August 7, 1928 in Dellroy, Ohio to  Paul "Buster" and Effie (Gallatin) McQueen and was a 1946 graduate of Dellroy High School.  She was married June 26, 1948 at Union Valley Methodist Church to Raymond G. Linder, who died October 2, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son Barry, who died August 30, 1986.

 Margie was a member of the Dellroy Church of the Nazarene for over 57 years where she was a Sunday School Teacher to hundreds of little children, even picking them up and taking them to church whom otherwise could not have gone.  She also could be counted on to babysit, provide a meal or ride to the doctor or hospital for someone in need. She was very active in the women's activities of the church and was an avid bowler, competing in the Tuesday Morning Early Birds League at Atwood Lanes for many years.The most important achievement in her life was providing a wonderful home life for her husband and two sons, as well as her huge "Extended Family".  To Marge, everyone was family. 

She is survived by her son Brian (Theresa) Linder of Minerva, OH, a brother Wilbur McQueen of Sagamore Hills, OH,  a sister, Mrs. Marilyn (Lester) Miller of Peru, Indiana, a daughter-in-law Mrs. Tammy (Jay) McGarvin of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, four grandsons, Barry (Nicole) Linder Jr. of Pickerington, OH,  Jonathan Green of New York, Chris Friesen of Columbus OH, and Joey Gill of Minerva, a granddaughter, Mrs. Tiffani (Nick) Volk of Canal Fulton, OH, and seven great-grandchildren Jackson, Caden, Preston, Grayson, Matteson, Jaiden, and Tannyr, and a special nephew Paul Ewing of Dellroy.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Monday,  November 28, 2016 in the Dellroy Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Grace Baughman and Pastor Damon Spurgeon officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Valley Cemetery near the family home. Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM in the church. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Dellroy Church of the Nazarene, 7 North Liberty Street, P.O.
