Judith A. (Wells - Lori) Fink

Judith A. (Judy) Fink, of 4124 Amsterdam Road S.W., Bowerston, (New Hagerstown) Ohio, died early Saturday morning, October 29, 2016  just one day shy of her 78th birthday in her residence following a one-year battle with Lymphoma.

She was born October 30, 1938 in Jackson Township,  Guernsey Co., Ohio,  and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Bessie Markin Wells.  On March 2, 1979, she married her husband  Richard S. "Rick"  Fink, who died December 17, 1998.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, and one brother.

Although she was primarily a homemaker, Judy worked at various occupations through the years including several factories, restaurants, a dental lab, a cleaning service, and wrote local interest stories for newspapers.  She was a 1956 graduate of the Valley Rural High School (formerly Buffalo High School) in Guernsey County. She had spent may hours volunteering for veteran's organizations in Guernsey County with her sisters. She enjoyed puzzles and creative activities like drawing and sewing.  Judy was virtually unflawed in her efforts to acknowledge birthdays, Christmases, and other special occasions with cards and letters. She was an ardent fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Judy will be profoundly missed not only by her family, but by a large number of treasured friends that she had made through the different decades of her life.

She is survived by her six children Gary (Sonia) Lori of Massillon, O., Mark Lori of Cleveland, O.,  Scott (Robyn) Lori of Littleton, Massachusetts, Eric Lori of Midvale, O., Mrs. Valerie A. (James D.) Gardner of Sherrodsville, O., and  Andy Fink of the home,  a brother Bill (Marge) Wells of Rancho Cordova, California,  and a family of nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and a large family of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service honoring Judy's life will be conducted 4:00 P.M., Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Jerralyn Myers officiating.   Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of services at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County D.A.V., P.O.
