James H. Lemons

James H. Lemons , age 71, of  Dellroy, Ohio, died Monday morning, October 3, 2016 in his residence.

He was born June 17, 1945 in Tampa, Florida and was the son of the late Charles Miller and Dorothy Hobbs Lemons.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by a son, Scott H. Lemons.

James retired in 2010 after a career as an over-the-road truck driver, having driven for numerous trucking companies for more than 23 years.  He also served his country for a total of 14 years, having spent time in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.  He particularly enjoyed spending time around his family farm. 

He is survived by his wife Janet C.; Flanagan Lemons, whom he married July 9, 2004 and a sister, Paula Jane Owens of Heyworth, Illinois.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be observed. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County,  716 Commercial Avenue S.W.,  New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
