Helen M. Simpson

Helen M. Simpson, age 70, of Uhrichsville, Ohio,  and a former Leesville area resident, died early Sunday morning, December 23, 2018 in the Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center at Uhrichsville following a brief illness.

She was born September 11, 1948 in Dennison, Ohio and was the daughter of  the late William Bradford and Helen Louise Housel Burrows.  Her husband, the late Larry R. Simpson, passed away on April 5, 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers  Gary and Randy Burrows.

Helen had worked in various capacities over the years including in the dietary department of the former Doctor's Hospital in Massillon, a home heath aide, and finally for the Family Dollar Stores.  She liked to work crafts periodically and watch television. She was  fond of reading books and magazines, particularly grocery store tabloids.  He main source of joy came in the form of the times she was able to share with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She is survived by  three daughters and three sons  Mrs. Tonya (Richard) Davis of Brewster, OH.,  Mrs. Candy (David) Sluka of Uhrichsville,  Amber (Kaireese Fowler) Schwarze of Copley, OH,   Rich (Kari) Nussbaum of Sherrodsville, OH, Tracy (Tina) Nussbaum of New Philadelphia, OH,  and John (Jovonne) Nussbaum of Leesville, OH, a  brother Ray (Tammy) Burrows of Sherrodsville, and ten grandchildren and  eleven great-grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral services have been planned  and the interment  of her ashes with her mother will follow at a later date in the Leesville Cemetery.  The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at  Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
