C. B. "Pete" McClain

C. B.  "Pete" McClain, age 81, of Leesville, Ohio died Tuesday night, July 4, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House after a brief illness.

He was born February 29, 1936 in Scio, Ohio and was the son of  the late Charles Menard and Bernice Crabtree McClain.  

He retired in 1996 as an inspector for the Ohio Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. Pete also served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1961. 

He is survived by his wife Margaret A.  "Peggy" McCreary McClain, whom he married June 2, 1961, a son David McClain of Sherrodsville, O., and a daughter Mrs. Denise (Jeff) Pedersen of Dennison, O., a granddaughter Erica McClain and two great-grandchildren Regan and Destiny.

In accordance with Pete's wishes, he will be cremated and no funeral services are currently planned.  The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
