Thomas Roy Barnes

Thomas R. Barnes , age 73, a resident of Bowerston Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center for the last three years, died Sunday morning, March 26, 2017 in Bowerston Hills after a long illness.
He was born September 2, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio and was the son of  the late George Henry and Virginia Mary Wernert Barnes.  
He was a retired Social Worker who volunteered for missions and the homeless. 
He is survived by a  brother Jeffrey Barnes of Fort Myers, Florida and his friend and personal representative Jeffrey Currency of Kensington, OH.
Following cremation, a private graveside service, officiated by Sheila Roy will be held in the Patterson Union Cemetery at Deersville.  No calling hours are scheduled.
