Sylvia J. "Janie" Casto

Sylvia J. Casto, age 64, of 141 Mound Street, Sherrodsville, Ohio, died Monday evening, May 23, 2016 in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.

She was born December 3, 1951 in Ward, West Virginia and was the daughter of  the late Tryjosa  and Sylvia Marie Kessel Frame .  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. 

Sylvia was primarily a homemaker, but she had also performed home health care duties for relatives and friends. More than anything, she loved and cared for her family.  She treasured traveling to her birth state of West Virginia to visit with friends.  She also loved to go to church, and play cards with friends and family. One of her greatest joys was to go watch her granddaughter Hannah participate in her various activities.. 

She is survived by a son, James E. Casto, with whom she resided, a sister Marcella Patrick of Dellroy, Ohio, and her beloved granddaughter Hannah Casto of Carrollton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Saturday,  May 28, 2016 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with  Pastor Ron Mayle officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Sandyville, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Saturday  from 11:00A.M. until  time of services at 1:00 in the funeral home. Online condolence messages may be left at this website.
