Robert R. "Bob" Pearch, age 86, a longtime North Church Street, Sherrodsville, Ohio resident, died Saturday morning, January 16, 2016 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
He retired in 1994 from the former U.S. Ceramic Tile Company at East Sparta after 40 years service. Following retirement, he became a courier for Citizen's Bank, a position that he held for 11 years.
He was born October 10, 1929 in Georgetown, Ohio and was the son of the late Ross and Rena Foster Pearch. His wife, Beverley I. Beans Pearch, whom he married October 15, 1950, died December 6, 2013. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
Bob was an active and faithful member of the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville. He was a Korean War Era veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a life member of the Sherrodsville American Legion Post #660, the Dover V.F.W. Post #3463, and the Marine Corps League. He was also the former president of the Ceramic Federal Credit Union at East Sparta. Bob was a 1947 graduate of Franklin High School in New Athens. His presence will be missed by his family and his many friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Pearch of New Philadelphia, O. and Janet Pearch of Sherrodsville, a sister Leah Riley of Flushing, O., special grandson Cory Imes of Sherrodsville, special granddaughter Paula "P. J." Imes of Newcomerstown, O., a sister-in-law Margaret "Boots" Beans of New Philadelphia, and two brothers-in-law Cleston (Rosemary) Beans and Don Bair both of New Philadelphia.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Kenneth Ogg officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens where the combined Carroll County units of the V.F.W., D.A.V., and American Legion will conduct military graveside services. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
