John J. Jurkiewicz, age 82, of the Dixon Health Care Center, Steubenville, Ohio and formerly of Amsterdam, died Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015 in the Trinity West Hospital at Steubenville.
He was born October 30, 1932 in Amsterdam, Ohio and was the son of the late Edward and Mary Ann Kolosinski Jurkiewicz .
He retired in 1993 as an operating engineer for the Union of Operating Engineers at Cleveland, Ohio after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance of the United States.
No formal funeral services are scheduled. Interment will take place Friday in the Amsterdam Cemetery. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
