Doris M. Warren

Doris M. Warren , age 87, of  Sherrodsville, Ohio and formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, died early Thursday morning, January 21, 2016 in  the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.

An only child, she was born June 8, 1928 in Wilmington, Delaware, and was the daughter of  the late John H. and Gladys Porter Warren. 

Along with her mother, she was a self-employed seamstress who operated "The Sew House" in Wilmington, Delaware where they designed and tailored high-quality custom draperies.  She was Methodist by faith.  When she was young, she was very adept at ice skating and roller skating, and participated in a number of skating competitions.. 

For the last number of years, she had moved to Ohio where she came to live with  her pastor, Rev. Fred and Marilyn Strawser of Sherrodsville, who provided care, accommodation, and friendship for Doris during that time.
