David H. Dunn

David Haskell Dunn, 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in New Philadelphia, Ohio on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Born in Salyersville, Kentucky on January 5, 1949, David was the 6th of seven children born to the late Haskell and Emily J. (Allen) Dunn. The family moved near Mineral City, Ohio when David was a child and he attended Magnolia School.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by sisters, Dafnes Dunn Walker and Virginia Rose Dunn, also by nephew Brian Dunn, niece Geraldine Dunn and sister-in-law Sandra Patrick Dunn. Dave is survived by brothers John (Louella) Dunn, Sr.. of Somerdale, O.,  James Dunn of New Cumberland, O. and Allen (Amy) Dunn of Seffner, Florida, as well as by his sister, Barbara (Don) Laubacher of Carrollton, O. and brother-in-law Gerald Walker of Somerdale, and many nieces and nephews.
A member of the First United Methodist Church of New Philadelphia, Dave enjoyed family events and bringing small gifts to those he cared for. David was a faithful member of the Caldwell Masonic Lodge #330 at Bolivar, Ohio.   He will be remembered lovingly by family and friends.

Public funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with his nephew Rev. John Dunn, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow services in the New Cumberland Cemetery.  Although there are no calling hours, the family will observe a private visitation.
