Catherine A. "Katie" Rinehart

Early on Easter Sunday morning, April 16, 2017, the angels came to take Catherine A. (Katie) Rinehart to Heaven.   She was born on June 27, 1929 in Hartville, Ohio.   She is the daughter of the late Orton and Leah Stambaugh,  and was raised by her grandmother Ada Stambaugh due to the death of her mother.   She lived in Dellroy all of her adult life and has resided at the Hennis Care Center in Dover for the last five years, until the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease took her life.
Katie was a hard working women who spent her life supporting her family. She was the ultimate cleaning lady working until the age of 71.  She dearly loved all wildlife, especially her birds which she fed daily and her precious cats.  Katie had a lifelong love and appreciation for music. All who knew her will remember and cherish her captivating laugh.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles E. Rinehart of the home in Dellroy and her three loving daughters whom she cherished. Karen Kirkbride, of Canton, Norma Ryan, husband Jeff Ryan of Dover and Annette Rinehart and companion Andy Palmer of Minerva.  Katie also dearly loved her one and only grandson, Bruce Kirkbride of Canton and her two great grandchildren Lauran and Brooke Kirkbride.
Funeral Services, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Ogg will be held at the Baxter Gardner Funeral Home, Sherrodsville, Friday, April 21st at 11:00 A.M.   Interment will follow in the Baxter's Ridge Cemetery at New Harrisburg.
