Brent M. Copeland , age 28, of 90376 Plum Run Road, Bowerston, Ohio, died early Tuesday morning, September 27, 2016 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
He was a grinding room foreman for the Bowerston Shale Company where he had been employed for more than five years.
He was born November 22, 1987 in Dover, Ohio and was the son of Jeffrey Lee and Tammy Lynne Host Copeland of Bowerston.
He attended the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville and was a 2006 graduate of Conotton Valley High School and the Buckeye Career Center. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Brent reveled in the time he was able to spend fishing and hunting. He was known for his sense of humor, and was always amused when he played a practical prank on his friends or family. He also took pride in the opportunity to help others in need. But his greatest joy came from playing with his children Hunter and Hazel. Brent's kindness and humor will be fondly remembered by his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Sarah Jean Causby Copeland, whom he married March 21, 2015, a son, Hunter Copeland and daughter, Hazel Copeland, both of the home, two sisters, Casey Copeland and Mrs. Tia (B. J.) Booth, and a brother Travis (Erin) Copeland, all of Bowerston. Also surviving are his grandparents, and a large family of cousins nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Brent's life will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville with Rev. Kenneth Ogg officiating. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville. Written notes and stories about Brent that may be shared with his children in the future would be appreciated, and may be submitted to the family or deposited at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of a deposit to a savings account for Hunter and Hazel established at the Citizen's Bank, 15 Sherrod Avenue, P.O. Box #222, Sherrodsville, O. 44675.
